The Lake:
If Lake Tahoe was tipped over, the water would cover California to a depth of fourteen and a half inches. (Texas would only be covered to a depth of eight and a half inches.) This amount of water is enough to supply everyone in the United States with 50 gallons of water per day for 5 years.
Winter Wonderland: Tahoe is a world class ski and snow playground. In fact on Lake Tahoe hosted the greatest winter athletes in the world gathered at Squaw Valley.
At Home With Nature: Explore, Hike and visit our lovely Tahoe and you are bound to see some wildlife of the four-legged variety. Viewing coyote, deer, bears or raccoon is not uncommon in Tahoe.

Population:
South Lake Tahoe, including the Stateline area, has a permanent, year-round population of 34,000.

In Stateline, Nevada try your luck at gaming with six 24-hour casinos in the South Lake Tahoe area.
Skiing: Lake Tahoe offers not only world class skiing but host a wonderful views. Surrounding the lake you can find ski resorts ready for fun including our famous Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, the only ski resort that boarders two states, Nevada and California.
